The deadline to apply for the fall semester is July 1.
The deadline to apply for the spring semester is December 1.
The 2018 fall semester begins August 27.
Admission Requirements
Desperation College is designed to equip and empower students in fulfilling the simplicity of the Gospel . At Desperation College, we believe that admission is an honor reserved for students who are passionate about the call on their lives and are ready to fully commit themselves to pursuing their future ministry.
What are we looking for?
- Student has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
- Student has been involved in a local church for a minimum of 6 months.
- Student has agreed to and signed the “Desperation Church Leadership Honor Code”
- Student has completed the Christian Character Reference Form (information found in your online application)
- Student has submitted an Admissions Interview Video (information found in your online application)
- Student has submitted an official high school/home school transcript showing graduation with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA OR an official copy of passing scores on the GED from the GED Testing Service.
- If applicable, student has submitted any post-secondary transcripts with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA.
- Student must have the physical, emotional, psychological and intellectual health and capacity required to successfully undertake the demand of ministry training and academic performance.
Things to Note
- Your application will not be complete until we have received your completed application with video, reference, and transcripts.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered for admission after the deadline has passed.
- An application is valid for 12 months. Updated application forms are required if one year has elapsed since the application was submitted.
- Admission to college is not guaranteed upon submission of all requirements. Each application will be reviewed and applicant be interviewed to determine admission status.
